Apprenticeships awards
November 2013
Last Thursday evening saw the culmination of several months work creating the visual identity for the Apprenticeship Awards evening and accompanying Made by Apprentices exhibition. The team went up to a very chilly Birmingham to see it all bought to life and enjoy the awards ceremony.
Held at this year’s Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham, the awards celebrate achievements over the year from the country’s apprentices, promoting the various ways they have made a difference to workplaces across the country. The awards also provide an opportunity for many of the country’s top employers, skills professionals and policy makers to network and celebrate the skills demonstrated by apprentices within their businesses.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg attended the awards, delivering an inspiring speech along with host Tim Campbell, former winner of the TV show, The Apprentice.
The visual identity of the evening celebrated everything ‘made by apprentices’, using scaffold structures to hold everything from jewellery to Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes F1 car. We created a bespoke typeface and graphic language based around ‘making’ and the construction of elements.
