Original artwork auctioned for a great cause

July 2013

Soapbox & Sons in collaboration with Behind the Beats have brought together a group of world renowned beatboxers, artists and designers to throw a roof-top summer event taking place this evening in Shoreditch.

The event is in aid of The McGuire Programme, a global stammering recovery programme, which Purpose recently helped to rebrand. Artists and designers were invited to create original artworks around a song lyric, with the work being auctioned and the proceeds going directly to The McGuire Programme.

Purpose designers Paul, Sean and Alex have created a piece, based around Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror'. They designed a bespoke typeface and had the mirror sandblasted leaving just song lyrics reflective.

This will be the first of a series of events from Soapbox & Sons and Behind the Beats. We wish you all the best for a great evening tonight and hope you manage to raise lots of money for this great cause.
